Why high-risk businesses need a different gateway

Card processors label some business models high-risk because of higher chargeback exposure, regulatory requirements or a large share of cross-border sales. Merchants in that group are often declined at signup, or see an account frozen or closed with little warning.

EPaySe is a gateway built for that situation. Instead of depending on one processor, payments are designed to route across several acquirers, and every account is reviewed case by case before it can go live.

How EPaySe supports high-risk and regulated merchants

Multi-PSP routing and cascade retries

Routing rules choose a payment service provider for each transaction. When a provider declines, cascade rules set per error type can retry the payment at another provider, with retry limits and retry analytics in the dashboard.

Rule-based fraud controls

Fraud rules check each payment before it reaches a provider, and you can adjust them to your own risk profile instead of accepting one generic setting.

Reserves, disputes and reports you can see

The merchant dashboard shows reserve balances with their scheduled releases, dispute and claim activity, and transaction and settlement reports, so the money held back is never a black box. Fee categories and reserve terms are named in your contract before you sign.

Integration options

Accept cards through a hosted checkout page, an embedded iframe or a server-to-server API, or collect payments without code by sharing a payment link.

What we look at when we assess an application

Every application is assessed case by case. The KYB form in the merchant dashboard shows what is asked, so you can prepare before you start.

Your company and the people behind it

Company details, the representative who applies and the owners, with identity documents for the people involved.

What you sell and how customers find you

A description of your products or services and your business model. If you advertise, proof of your advertising campaigns can be attached.

Your processing history

If you have taken card payments before, a previous card processing statement shows your volumes and chargebacks. A new business can say so and explain its plans.

Supporting documents

Photos of your office or premises, and any additional documents you want us to consider, each added under a name you choose.

How onboarding works

  1. Tell us about your business

Send a short description through the contact form, or create an account in the merchant portal.

  2. Complete KYB verification

Company and identity documents are collected in the merchant dashboard and reviewed case by case.

  3. Build and test in the sandbox

Integrate against the public sandbox and run test cards through every flow before any real payment.

  4. Go live once approved

Pricing and reserve terms are confirmed in writing before you sign, and live processing starts only after approval.

Questions merchants ask before applying

Will my business be approved?

Approval is decided case by case and cannot be promised in advance. Some activities are not accepted at all; the Terms of Service list them.

Read the Terms of Service

My previous processor closed my account. Can I still apply?

You can apply. Describe what happened in the application and attach your previous card processing statement if you have one. Applications are assessed as a whole.

Can I build before I am approved?

Yes. The sandbox is public and uses test cards, so you can integrate and test every flow while your application is assessed. Live payments start only after approval.

What happens when a provider declines a payment?

Cascade rules set per error type decide whether a decline is retried at another provider. The retry limit and the results show in the dashboard.

How are fees and reserves set?

Fee categories and reserve terms, including any rolling reserve, are named in a written quote before you sign.
